New Environment

Welcome to the first version of UltraGym, a fully immersive environment.


2X Better Punch Recognition

One of UltraBoxing's core features is the opponent's intelligent defense. It won't just block punches. It will choose from various options, depending on the circumstances.

For the defense to be intelligent, the opponent needs to understand what kind of punch the player is going to make.

So, we developed an UltraSense – AI-powered punch recognition system. In Alpha 2.0 it works twice as fast and accurately, making the AI bot quite challenging to hit.


Physics Improvements

A common theme among Alpha 1.0 testers was that it was often unclear whether their punch was successful. We revamped the game's physics to solve this issue. As a result, it improved significantly. Therefore, it got much better. Feel more satisfaction from every punch!


Body Punches Added

Previously, you could only punch the AI in the head. With Alpha 2.0, it's now also possible to punch the AI in the body. Moving forward, we aim to further develop body punches and make the reactions to them feel even more natural.


2X More Animations

The players really liked our motion-captured animations from the first alpha. So we decided to double down on it. With Alpha 2.0, enjoy up to 2x more HQ animations!


Passthrough Mode

Using Quest 3 or Quest Pro? Try fighting in mixed-reality mode. It feels safer to punch. Mixed-reality also adds more realism, as you can see your hands and legs while fighting.


Turbo Knockout Mode

With Alpha 2.0, we are introducing a new high-fun-per-minute mode called 'Turbo Knockout.'

In this mode, every power punch will drop you or your opponent to the ground, but the number of knockouts in each round is unlimited. The winner is the one with the highest number of knockdowns at the end of the bout!

We hope you enjoy this fun and fast-paced mode as much as we do.

More Sounds

We have added more sounds to enhance the game's immersion. Our favorites are the new footstep sounds. As we finalize all the core features, we will increasingly focus on refining the sound experience in the game.


What's next?

New Character

We are thrilled to announce Charlie "Madman" Harris as the first permanent member of the UltraBoxing Gym. We are currently working on integrating him into the game, so anticipate facing Charlie in the ring during the next few updates.

You better start training now because fighting him won't be easy.
